Today is the Western feast day of Sts. Simon and Jude. We commemorate the day with "soul cakes," hot soup, and mulled apple cider. Huzzah! (You can read more about Jude's name in my post from last year on my other blog.)
Saint Jude, pray for us that we may be made worthy to join you at Christ's mystical banquet, bearing the Son in our souls, perpetually giving thanks to the Lord our God!
